We are the closest campground to Historic Baddeck at just 5 kilometers. There you will find a lovely village offering most anything you need for your stay. A visitor information center, supermarket, hardware, gas station, weekly green market, library, drug store, medical clinic, dentist, post office, several eateries, Yacht Club (Public Welcome), Bras d’Or Lakes Interpretive Centre, the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and nearby golf.

Please refer to our ‘Things To Do’ tab for suggestions and itineraries.

Bras D’Or Lake has been called  both a lake and ‘Canada’s inland sea’ but it is really an estuary where fresh water meets salt water creating a unique Biosphere surrounded by rocky shorelines and deep forested hills. Our Lake Front area offers wonderful photo opportunities, great reading spots, and picnic views galore! Our shore front is a sheltered cove where you can fish from the shoreline (no license necessary) or take a refreshing dip (swim shoes recommended). Adventurous guests are also welcome to use their own kayak or canoe  at the lakes edge. There is an access boat ramp in downtown Baddeck for ease of launch if needed.

We are located on Trans Canada Highway #105 (TCH #105) Civic number 8885 at Km. Marker # 80 between exits #7 and #8. We are well-signed and the only campground on the lake (On your right when coming from the causeway—or if coming from the Sydney area on your left) and closest campground to Baddeck Village. See main website page for Latitude and Longitude.

Yes! We welcome campers and their pets. For safety and hygienic reasons pets need to be on a leash at all times and owners need to pick up after them. In fact, we offer a Pet Walk area and free baggies so pet campers can help keep our campground clean for all our 2 and 4-legged campers! Sorry pets are prohibited from buildings at bathrooms, showers, clubhouse, office, laundry, and all but select pet friendly cabins. But they may swim in the lake!

Our Tent Village offers sites with a picnic table, firepit and free high speed internet. We also have a  covered kitchen area that is great for food prep or dish detail (yes running water!). Take advantage of our clubhouse and catch up on emails, have a game night, or plan your stops around the trail. And of course all the regular campground amenities are yours to enjoy: Pool, FREE hot showers, coin laundry, playground, lakefront views and complimentary coffee and tea in the clubhouse every morning.
